Sundarban salt is set up in 1986 as a salt refinery unit that continued to cater the demand of the people with quality common or table salt (NaCl). In 1993, with the assistance of UNICEF and BSCIC it started the production of iodized salt perhaps for the first time in the country. However, in 2004 with the innovation of new machinery it went for the production of Pure Dried Vacuum Salt. First of it’s kind in Bangladesh.
Sundarban Salt is effortlessly trying to ensure quality of its products and production of need based products as required and demanded by the people of health authority worldwide including WHO and UNICEF. As such it intends to produce Common salt or table salt fortified with iron and other elements of nutritional requirements.
Apart from nutritional supply in prevention of malnutrition, Sundarban Salt Industries catering the needs of the various other industries like chemical, pharmaceuticals, tannery, textiles, animal and fish feed manufacturers. The following products are manufactured and supplied by us:

Sundarban Salt is situated in the city of Khulna, the factory is in Singer Char, very close to the city , at the opposite bank of river Bharab. It is about 40 Km away from the Port of Monga and 200 Km from Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It is also only about 90 Km away from the main land port Benapole, Bangladesh (with India).
Total production capacity:
1. Triple Refined Edible Iodized Salt: 225 metric tons per day in full capacity.
2.100% Pure Dried Vacuum evaporated salt 50 metric Tons per Day.
3. Free flowing Table Salt 100 Metric Tons per Day.
4. Denatured Salt 150 Metric Tons per Day.
